Frederic Hepineuze
Founder & Managing Director
Frederic is the Founder and Managing Director of Sanieve. He is also a member of the Firm’s Investment Committee.
Frederic has over 30 years of experience in management of companies in the industrial, distribution and logistical sectors. At Sanieve, Frederic leads the overall strategy and direction of the firm, in addition to leading deal teams focused on the sourcing, evaluation, and management of the firm’s portfolio companies. Over his long career, Frederic has partnered with several successful and innovative players in the financial services space and has served as a board member and advisor to numerous public and private companies.
Prior to founding Sanieve, Frederic steered the sale of his industrial companies to an investment funds and a multinational company.
Prof. Tonio Borg
Board Member
Tonio is a professor in public law at the University of Malta, a former politician who served as a European Commissioner for Health and Consumer Policy, former Deputy Prime Minister and Cabinet Minister. He was also a member of the management board of the European Medicines Agency. He is also an author of a number of publications dealing with constitutional and administrative law issues. He was also made companion of Order of Merit by the President of Malta in 2018.
Marco Mercieca
Director of Operations
Marco is the Director of Operations at Sanieve. He is also a member of the Firm’s Investment Committee.
Marco has over 15 years of experience in management of companies in his role at Tri-Mer Services Ltd. which gives him the knowledge required to assist Frederic and the firm in reaching its goals.
